JOB TITLE: 111 Clinical Advisor


SALARY: Starting on £15.50 per hour. Permanent salary will be £27,000 + with potential to earn more

HOURS: Variety of rota patterns available from 20-40 hours per week - you will only be required to work 2 weekends out of 4 on a rolling 4 week rotaOffice Angels Exeter are currently recruiting for an exciting position to join a large and growing healthcare organisation in Exeter as a 111 Clinical Advisor.

The service is 24/7 operating 365 days per year and is primarily a non-emergency service providing advice and guiding to the most appropriate urgent care service based on telephone triage.

Being a Clinical Advisor is a demanding yet highly rewarding career where you will be able to consistently make a difference to patients every day. There is also offer fantastic support provided for career progression and personal development as an integral member of the team.

You must be a registered nurse or paramedic with experience in an Acute or Primary/Community Care setting and you will ideally be Pathways trained (although paid training can be provided). The main purpose of your role will be to provide support to Health Advisors in the Contact Centre when calls are directed to you for patients requiring clinical advice.

You will be confident in utilising your clinical expertise alongside the Pathways software to support patients ensuring that they receive the most suitable treatment tailored to their individual needs.

You will be comfortable discussing treatment ranging from self-care advice to referring patients to other services such as OOH appointments or to other members of the multidisciplinary team.

Our service whilst considered non-urgent, does receive calls of an emotional, distressing or life-threatening nature and there will be times when 999 services may need to be dispatched.
