Job Description

Weldricks Pharmacy currently have a new vacancy for an Accuracy Checking Technician to join their team in Doncaster.
To be considered for this role, you must have successfully achieved an approved and accredited qualification (e.g. NPA Accuracy Checkers Training Pathway)
What will you be doing?
As our Accuracy Checking Technician you will be responsible for providing a high standard of customer and health care by accurately checking dispensed medicines and advising on prescriptions and Medicines under the direction of a Pharmacist. You will undertake the duties of the Dispensing Technician and Pharmacy Assistant as necessary whilst taking responsibility for ensuring that all processes are in place to enable the discharge of your duties as a technician. You will also be required to:
* Complete the appropriate training for the accuracy checker role and undertake reassessment at the required intervals
* Develop a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for accuracy checking
* Be aware of the legal and ethical issues surrounding the dispensing process
* Provide excellent face to face customer care
* Handle situations arising from the discovery of errors
* Maintain a checking log and ensure that health & safety standards are met
* Ensure all orders are sent at the allocated times
* Organise (under supervision of the branch pharmacist) jobs to be done by the dispensary staff
* Train new or less experienced dispensary staff
* Adhere to all local Health Authority protocols for enhanced services and the GPhC Standards of conduct, ethics and performance
* Adhere to and maintain accurate accounting procedures

* Successfully achieved an approved and accredited qualification (e.g. NPA Accuracy Checkers Training Pathway)
* Outstanding attention to detail
