Activities Co-Ordinator based at Connell Court, Southport

Available Hours:

Permanent - Part Time - 18 hours per week.

Looking to use your skills to benefit older people in a homely environment?

We are currently recruiting for an Activities Co-ordinator to join our team and to work within the Home to provide activity opportunities for our residents.

In conjunction with the senior team, you will be responsible for planning and running a programme of activities for the residents linked to assessed social needs identified in care plans.

You will also be responsible for maintaining and promoting activities that older people enjoy and find stimulating.

Your ability to design and facilitate group activities is essential.

Connell Court is the ideal MHA Home for those who wish to live near the coast.

The purpose-built 37-place Home is situated in Birkdale, a few minutes' walk from the village itself where there is an abundance of local eateries, shops and bars.

Facilities include a lift to all floors, a dedicated, communal dining room and individual tea bays on each floor where residents can enjoy refreshments and socialise with family and friends. Our communal lounge is used for regular activities which are organised by our Activity Co-ordinator and church services which are provided by our Chaplain. A hair salon is located on the third floor, where residents are invited to use the in-house hairdresser or bring in their own hairdresser.

The conservatory to the rear has a view of our well-established, well-maintained garden.
