Therapy Services, Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford

Our integrated Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Therapy Assistant service has a high profile within the Trust.
We are looking for an experienced qualified Occupational Therapist who is interested in developing their career in the clinical specialty of General and Vascular Surgery including Amputee Rehabilitation.
You will have significant post graduate experience with a broad range of clinical skills and now be looking to increase your managerial skills and take on more responsibility. Previous experience in an Acute hospital or Intermediate care setting, including some within the clinical specialty is essential. Supervision of more junior staff, Assistants and OT students is a key part of this role.
Therapy Services is a friendly and supportive department with a strong focus on professional and personal development, and a commitment to regular clinical supervision for all staff, as well as annual appraisal.
Opportunities for training are available including Amputee management and working closely with Harold Wood Limb fitting centre.
Following some innovative work as part of the NHS drive for more 7 day working we provide a weekend and bank holiday service to key patient pathways. You will be part of the regular roster working approximately 1 weekend a month.

MEHT contracts are subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period.
All Registered Nurse/Midwife/Theatre Practitioner or ODP you will be required to take a Drug Calculation Test. (please note 100% pass mark required)
All HCA/HCSW/MCA will be required to take a Literacy and Numeracy test (80% pass required) as part of the pre employment process.
