Band 8a, 0.4WTE, Advanced Practitioner Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist Job Advert

Post: 14 months fixed term contract

An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Advanced MSK Practitioner to join the MSK Physiotherapy team which delivers the IMAPS (Integrated Musculoskeletal and Pain Service) and THIPP (Tower Hamlets Integrates Patient Partnership) contracts in particular . We are looking for a passionate and dedicated physiotherapist who demonstrates excellent clinical, leadership and communication skills. The post holder will join a collaborative and solution focussed team.

The post will provide both clinical and managerial leadership to a defined part of the MSK physiotherapy service as part of a vibrant Band 8 team, supported by a Physiotherapy Consultant and Head of Outpatient Therapies and Operational Manager. Clinical pracitce will be in our intermediate care triage service (IMAPS) whereby you will be working alongside GP’s with a special intererst in MSK, a Clinical Expert Hand Therapist, and our superbly appointed physiotherapy departments at The Royal London and Mile End Hospitals.

As well as delivering an Advanced Practitioner clinical service, leadership of a defined service area and staff group will be part of your remit. You will lead and support on departmental teaching, audits, research and clinical pathway development. We pride ourselves on the quality of our staff support, and benefit from the excellent band 5-7 clinical staff we recruit, develop and maintain. Enhancing development is a key part of the role as part of fully engaging the workforce, to ensure clinical quality stays central to the delivery of the service and ongoing improvements. We have developed Steering Groups including Research and Retention, Clinical Pathways, Health and Safety and Quality to ensure a gold standard service which you will be an intergral part of.

The post is a fixed term contract for 14 months ending on the 9th April 2021 to cover maternity leave for 2 days a week. We can be flexible on working days and hours.
