Recruitment Panda is looking for an Area Manager to be in charge of 3 residential homes - in Devon and Somerset.
Two of the homes are very stable and well run, with managers in post for almost 10 years.
The third home is rated CQC 'good', but is in an improvement and stabilisation process.
As Area Manager your roles and responsibilities will include ensuring the commercial, operational and regulatory success of each home, according to monitoring, audit.
You will ensure that managers are implementing Group policies and procedures, suggesting improvements and supporting the launch of new initiatives.
You will visit each of your homes at least once a week, but be based out of one of your homes in Exeter.
You will be supported by a Regional Director, who is based in the same office as yourself, there are 7 homes in the group presently.
There are ambitious growth plans for this provider, he is hoping to double the portfolio of homes by the end of 2021.
This means there is scope for growth and professional development as new opportunities present themselves.
You are likely be involved in the integration of future purchases with the aim of giving you a 4th home to oversee.
We believe in Area Managers having a really thorough knowledge of all the staff, hence the small number of homes.
Requirements for this position
Your Contract: will be 42.5hrs per week
Compensation: £42-45K p/a + £5k performance related bonus
Minimum 3 years running a 'good' rated care home and/or operating successfully as an Area Manager - preferably in elderly care or for those with health needs - and demonstrable ability to problem solve and organise teams.
A minimum of 3 years as a manager or more senior at 1 company in the last 5 years
Experienced Residential Home Manager
Good CQC report
Driving licence and Car
Good understanding of CQC
Experience of Multi Site Management
