Our client is a highly successful and national asbestos consultancy, who provides a wide range of professional asbestos and environmental services to a mixed portfolio of clients, including Blue Chip clients. They are actively seeking for a high calibre, enthusiastic, self-driven and commercially focused Asbestos Bid Manager based in and around Greater Manchester. Ideally, they are looking for an individual with extensive experience managing a team of bid writers, working on PQQ's, ITT's and Tender returns. Applications will be considered from Warrington, Preston, Trafford, Salford, Stockport, Liverpool and the surrounding areas.
Will ideally come from a good educational background.
Must have significant experience in bid management, sales, business development, commercial, project and risk management.
A good knowledge of the commercial and other sectors.
Must have excellent communication, people management, organisational, presentation and leadership skills.
Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Package.
Purpose of the Role:
Preparing and winning bids and at the same time taking responsibility of the bid process - end to end.
Ensuring that the Bids team carry out the work effectively.
Getting involved with the PPQ and tender opportunities - evaluating and completing with time scale.
Managing the Bid qualification process effectively.
Managing the bid inputs i.e. from stakeholders - sales, marketing, finance, technical teams, legal etc.
Working alongside with the Sales and Managing Directors and making sure that the technical and commercial aspects of the tenders are completed with timeline.
Completing the written proposals - preparing management summary.
Delivering compliant and commercial sound bids - understanding and resolving various business issues.
Arranging post bid reviews and feedback with clients/customers.
Delivering continual improvement with regards to tender documentation.
Maintaining and building a good relationship with the Marketing Manager and the company's prestigious portfolio of clients.
Managing multiple projects simultaneously and at the same time ensuring that all information is consistent and up to date.
Overall, the successful post-holder will be of smart disposition, versatile and flexible and have the acumen to run the business effectively and take the business to the next level
