The central Health and Safety Department is recruiting an Assistant SHE Advisor to join the Western region. This role will be based from our regional office in Bristol.
About the role You will work closely with and report directly to the SHE Manager, supporting the Western region with Safety, Health and Environmental matters. You will carry out health, safety and environmental inspections, conduct and co-ordinate accident investigations and manage accident reporting. Predominantly inspections will be on our construction projects, however you also be involved with inspecting and supporting our Facilities Management (FM) side of the business. The role will require you to regularly travel to all the projects within the Western Region.
Who are we looking for? You will be working in the construction industry and looking to continue your progress within health and safety.
Qualifications: * NEBOSH Construction certificate * A degree is preferable but not essential. * Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint plus other digital technologies
Skills and requirements: * You will have excellent communication skills and be able to influence, motivate and support BAM managers in our Western region. Must have at least 12 months Health and Safety experience in a construction environment * You will be self-motivated and committed * Ability to work with little direct supervision * Exemplary written reporting skills * Time management and organisation skills to a high level * Ability to present to groups * You will be able to research subjects and report on your findings * Clean UK driving licence
