This is an exciting opportunity for registered nurses to become part of our developing hub based Community Nursing Teams offering core community nursing, rapid response and Home First nursing interventions.
We are looking for registered nurses who are seeking to broaden their range of skills and knowledge within a dynamic and supportive environment. The post holders will participate in the delivery of skilled nursing care to patients within their own home, residential homes and clinic settings.
The successful applicants will be working in an environment that utilises integrated multidisciplinary working across health and social care.
There are vacancies available in three bases - Merlyn Vaz Health and Social Care Centre, The Neville Centre and Braunstone Health and Social Care Centre.
Applicants will need to demonstrate the ability to assess, plan, provide and evaluate evidence based nursing care for a wide range of conditions with a strong emphasis on facilitation of self-management and independence. There will also be a focus upon hospital avoidance and working with acute hospital colleagues to facilitate early discharge home.
This is a challenging but fulfilling role and we are seeking energetic and dynamic nurses who can think on their feet and work independently and as part of a team.

Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust is offering ‘retention payments’ for its Band 5 posts in City Community Services.
A bonus payment of £2,000 will go to registered community nurses who join our teams at Merlyn Vaz, Braunstone and The Neville Centre and stay for 3 years.
The criteria for this scheme are that as a Band 5 Community Nurse in the City area:
All payments are subject to tax and national insurance payments and are non-pensionable.
Previous community experience and a wide range of clinical experience would be an advantage however further training will be given. Full time and part time (30 hour) posts are available for experienced or newly qualified nurses with hours worked Monday to Sunday between 08.00 and 22.00.
