Athona is currently recruiting for an ongoing locum Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) in West Sussex.
The post is based in a Crisis Assessment Lounge which has been set up in light of the pandemic to ease beds being blocked in A&E and on wards for Mental Health patients.
The unit itself is a 3 recliner unit and patients are moved here for up to a 24 hour period to be assessed and referred as needed /have a safety plan initiated. Occasionally patients may stay longer than 24 hours if further action has been deemed and they are awaiting this.
The team are looking for a Full time candidate to cover up to 3 long days 7am - 9pm with no set shift patterns on a rota basis. Night work may be available after settling into days.
The successful candidate will be a Registered Mental Health Nurse ideally with previous experience working in A&E Liaison or Crisis Team settings.
