With five world-renowned hospitals, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is full of opportunity if you are looking to develop your healthcare career.

We are an NHS Trust of 10,000 people, providing care for over a million patients from north west London and beyond every year. We have a rich heritage and an ambitious vision for the future of our patients and local communities.

With our partners, Imperial College London, The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and The Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust, we form Imperial College Academic Health Science Centre, one of 11 academic health science centres in the UK, working to ensure the rapid translation of research for better patient care and excellence in education.

We are proud of our heritage in innovation and we are early adopters of new insights in technologies, techniques and treatments for improving health.

We are looking for an enthusiastic physiotherapist who is motivated to consolidate their knowledge and clinical skills as a Senior Rotational Children’s Physiotherapist in a dynamic Children’s Physiotherapy team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced physiotherapist to work across specialist acute and community children’s services based at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. Rotations are within the Child Development Service, children’s musculoskeletal outpatients, neonates and paediatric inpatients.

The Child Development Physiotherapy Service is contracted by Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust to provide physiotherapy to North Kensington and Chelsea and Central and North Westminster localities. The physiotherapists work within a multi-disciplinary team to treat infants, children and adolescents in community settings, which includes children’s homes, schools, special schools and nurseries. The Children’s Physiotherapy Musculoskeletal Service includes treatment of common paediatric musculoskeletal conditions referred from acute and primary care agencies. Senior physiotherapists contribute to the established clinical pathways for infants with common orthopaedic conditions referred from neonatal and postnatal units. The inpatient team provides physiotherapy for an expanded Children’s Intensive Care Unit (CICU), Children’s Wards, Infectious diseases, Haematology, Neurology, Major Trauma, Paediatric Accident and Emergency and Short Stay Unit. Children present with a variety of conditions for which physiotherapy management is required (respiratory, neurology, neuro-developmental, orthopaedic and surgical) and established skills and knowledge in rehabilitation and respiratory intervention are highly desirable. There is a Children’s Physiotherapy Out of Hours Service for emergency respiratory physiotherapy.

The post will give you the opportunity to extend your clinical and leadership skills with support from specialist children’s physiotherapists and advanced physiotherapy practitioners. There are opportunities to contribute to service development and supervise junior physiotherapists, physiotherapy assistants and students. We also offer a robust education and training programme and work in a friendly and respectful environment where each team member strives to support children’s growth and development to achieve their full potential.

At Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust you can achieve extraordinary things with extraordinary people. You’ll be working with leading clinicians pushing boundaries in patient care. Become part of a vibrant team living our values - expert, kind, collaborative and aspirational. You’ll get an experience like no other and will fast forward your career.

Benefits include opportunities for career development, flexible working and wellbeing, plus a staff recognition scheme. Also, take advantage of optional benefits including the cycle to work and car lease schemes, season ticket loan or membership options for onsite leisure facilities.

All of our hospitals have quick transport access to the Westfield shopping and leisure centre, the West End and a range of local bars, cafes and restaurants - ideal for team socials!
