We are looking for a part-time Band 6 Specialist Speech & Language Therapist to join our adult acute team. Based primarily on the St Mary’s site, with cross-site working to Charing Cross and Hammersmith Hospital sites as required, you will provide a specialist service to adults across a range of medical and surgical specialities including acute admissions units, major trauma, respiratory, medicine for the elderly, neurology, and critical care. As a valued member of the team, you will contribute to multidisciplinary working, further develop your specialist clinical skills, and actively participate in service developments with the support of the speech and language therapy leads.
The SLT service at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust has expertise, knowledge and skill in the assessment and treatment of communication and swallowing difficulties arising from a number of complex aetiologies. Our adult acute service operates across 3 hospital sites with small friendly teams located on each site, access to weekly Videofluoroscopy clinics and an SLT-led FEES service. We are focused on driving forward evidence based practice and service improvements, and staff are actively encouraged and supported to participate in CPD activities, audit and research.
