Are you looking to join an NHS Health and Social Care partner which is striving to make positive changes? Would you like to work for an organisation where more than 9 out of every 10 of the people who use services would recommend them?
Since 2017, Virgin Care in partnership with Barnardos working together as The Essex Child and Family Wellbeing service have delivered innovative and refreshing health and social care pre-birth to 19 years services to Essex Families. We have developed our own unique approach where our patients are at the centre of everything we do and right now, we're looking for a Health Visitor to join our Healthy Family Teams to help us continue to change things for the better.
You will be a RGN or Midwife with a SCPHN Qualification, have strong communication and organisation skills and a flexible approach will ensure you deliver positive experiences to service users at every stage of their healthcare journey.
As the Health Visitor you will be responsible for delivering Health Child programmes, working with multi-professional teams to facilitate multi-agency and interdisciplinary working. You will promote and maintain an effective service to clients, using the assessment framework, communication, negotiation and collaboration.
You will work within the Children Act 2004 and act as an advocate for the voice of the child and prescribe as appropriate from the Nurse Prescribers formulary. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate packages of care. You will identify concerns and report and refer those directly to social care or with Clinical Leads, Named Nurse and Safeguarding Supervisors.
You will be inspired to develop innovative ways of working within a safe & supportive environment. You will educate families so they are more empowered to offer care from home and also know what other services they can access to reduce attendance at the local hospital emergency department.
Feel the Difference
We partner with the NHS to make a real difference to people in West Essex and we're building a working environment where colleagues too can really feel the difference.
It's the kind of place where nothing's too much trouble. Where you'll feel empowered, listened to, valued and where we'll support you to bring your best self to work every single day and to deliver high quality care. And that's just the beginning. Since 2006, we've delivered services to millions of people by developing our own unique approach where our patients are at the centre of everything we do.
