Job description
We are looking for hardworking and enthusiastic people to join us!

Have you ever considered a career in care?

At The Gables, we are recruiting for Bank Support Workers to join our team and to help us deliver exceptional service.
We have the below opportunities available:

3 x Bank Support Worker - 25.5 hours

Salary: 19,171 pro rata
The advertised salary includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of the post. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and /or working conditions of the role

The Gables, situated on Cleator Moor Road, Whitehaven, is a newly built care home that can accommodate up to 60 residents, providing a safe, secure and comfortable environment to those who are physically frail, highly dependent and people with Dementia.

The role of a Bank Support Worker
This is a varied, challenging and incredibly rewarding role where you will get to know our residents and support their wellbeing by providing both physical and emotional support. As a Bank Support Worker, whilst working in our home, you will be responsible for administering medication, ensuring all security checks are completed, dealing with emergencies and assisting our Residents with any of their needs. It is a fulfilling role, with a great deal of responsibility, and we are looking for people with good responses, who have the ability to adapt, and who can make safe and confident decisions to support the wellbeing of our residents.

The ideal candidates to join our team will be responsible, caring and engaging; people who can assess situations and make the right decisions for our residents. An NVQ is not a requirement but for the right people we can support your progression through these qualifications, and full training and support will be given.

The role of a Bank Support Worker can also mean supporting some of the wider residential homes in our local area, especially at times when they need it most, so we are looking for dedicated people with a real passion for our service. If this sounds like you, then apply today!

In return we can offer you:
Access to training and development
A friendly and supportive working environment
The chance to work in a brand new residential home, with exceptional facilities
Generous Annual Leave entitlement
Challenging and rewarding work
Cycle to work scheme
Employee benefits and discounts
Local Government Pension Scheme
Free eye test and glasses for display screen users
