An established consultancy are looking for an experienced Biomarker Scientist, with a passion for Oncology, to join their team to provide specialist services oversight and consultancy solutions to the global life sciences sector. This is a remote based role so would be ideal for someone looking to work from home.
They are providing bioanalytical and logistics expertise in scientific project management, and have recently partnered with a global pharmaceutical company.
Biomarker Scientist Role:
This exciting opportunity is needing someone to be responsible for enacting the clinical biomarker strategy, working closely with the biomarker leader and will be centrally placed within a highly matrixed team that is empowered to leverage and integrate information with scientific rigor. Other responsibilities include:
Responsible for ensuring strategic operational input into clinical laboratory testing of human biological specimens and the efficient operational deployment of such clinical laboratory testing at the program level
Management of project timelines & delivery of clinical biomarker data
Full accountability and independent preparation / data analysis / editing / revision of documents
Demonstrate proof of mechanism / proof of concept in the context of the disease pathophysiology
Serves as interface between different study associated sub-departments
Biomarker Scientist Requirements:
PhD in life science or relevant area.
Experience of Oncology biomarkers
Prior experience (3-5 years) of clinical laboratory, clinical drug development and identifying pharmacodynamic biomarkers to inform dose selection
Experience obtained in a major pharmaceutical company or in a large CRO organisation within a biomarker or clinical project management role
