Client Information:      
Our client is a large, prestigious private hospital located in the heart of London, specialising in Medical and Surgical care. They have several units spanned across two prestigious areas of London focused on providing world-class treatment to their patients. They have an expansive team of consultants who are supported by expertly qualified nurses offering care in various specialities.
 
     
Opportunities:      
We are currently looking to recruit a Breast Care Clinical Nurse Specialist to join this state of the art facility in Central London. This facility boasts a state of the art outpatient diagnostic and cancer treatment centre. This is an exciting opportunity for an experience Breast Care Nurse to work in a centre of excellence in Oncology Care.
     
 
What will your role involve?
 
As an experienced Breast Care nurse you will demonstrate extensive knowledge of the principles of breast disease, predominately cancer. You will play a key role in enabling the clinical to meet targets and will be responsible for planning, developing and implementing new policies and procedures to improve the needs of the service. You will work closely with the multi-disciplinary teams to create and maintain a robust service whilst incorporating other centre services such as diagnostics, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Your day to day will involve being managing direct patient care and being responsible for a clinical case load, ensuring the right standards of care are provided to patients at all times. Working alongside the patients in their clinical pathway you will offer Holistic Needs Assessments at relevant points and provide them with a detailed care plan. You will also contribute to in house education programmes and keep up to date in current innovations in Oncology care.

 
To be considered for this role you would have at least 5 years nursing experience along with 3 years’ experience in Oncology care and more specifically experience in Breast Care. You will have experience of symptom management and a good understanding of the current issues in Oncology nursing. You will have the ability to motivate a team and be a good team player. A teaching and assessing module/mentorship would be desirable as well as a post grad certificate in cancer/breast related field. You will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to work well under pressure
