Business Assurance Manager
Voyage Care provides personalised support and care for people with learning disabilities; autism; head and spinal injuries; neurological needs and other complex conditions. We are committed to a person-centred approach for all the individuals we support, in all aspects of their lives.
Reporting to the Risk and Governance Manager, you will be responsible for safeguarding the financial processes associated with people being supported by Voyage Care through the planning and completion of financial assurance visits within services across the whole organisation.
As a Business Assurance Manager, you will identify inadequate, inefficient, or ineffective internal controls and recommend and implement improvements with respect to People we Support's monies, petty cash, purchasing/prepaid cards and other finance practices.
Your duties will include:
- Plan and undertake financial assurance visits within services
- Assess compliance with Voyage home/service financial policies and procedures
- Improve processes by recommending and implementing changes to internal financial and operating controls
- Provide financial process support and advice to home and service managers where required
- Undertake and report financial investigations into irregularities and concerns identified or suspected at homes and services
We are looking for someone who is numerate with excellent problem-solving skills with a keen interest in financial systems. You will be an effective communicator, with excellent administrative and strong IT skills, in addition to good presentation and report writing skills.
As this post involves commuting across the whole organisation the post holder will hold a full driving licence, be willing to undertake extensive travel and have a flexible approach to their working hours with the requirement for overnight stays.
Salary: Competitive; company car or allowance, 25 days' annual leave plus Bank Holidays and Birthday off, sick pay, pension contribution and Reward Scheme.
