Spire Fylde Coast Hospital is based in the seaside town of Blackpool. We have 3 operating theatres undertaking a wide range of procedures in Orthopaedics, ENT, Spines, Ophthalmic, Urology, Vascular, Gynaecology, Endoscopy, Plastics and General Surgery.

Duties and responsibilities:

• As a Business Development Manager (BDM), your primary responsibility will be driving growth in hospital activity and revenue by formulating and delivering the business development strategy, whilst fully tracking and evaluating performance.
• You will be fully accountable for the creation and implementation of the hospital’s annual business development plan linked to revenue generation targets, with key objectives and tactics for each core customer group (Consultants/Patients/Primary Care/Other partner organisations).
• Working closely with clinical leadership and consultants, you will own the effective utilisation of clinical space and support in delivering maximum surgical and diagnostic activity. Another primary focus is developing and maintaining key customer relationships to win and maintain market share of Consultant practice and GP referrals
• Being a key member of the Senior Management Team, you will also have a small, hardworking team of direct reports to lead and develop.

Who we're looking for:

• Experience in a senior Sales or Business Development role is vital
• Ideally you will have previous experience in a sales capacity within healthcare (private or NHS) or in a very similar industry
• You will have exceptional commercial acumen with a proven track record of delivery
• Previous senior leadership experience is essential, as you will lead a team and be part of the Senior Management Team for the hospital
• Knowledge of GP’s and Consultants in the surrounding area would be beneficial but by no means necessary
