Business Development Manager (Life Science & Biomedical)
Our Client is looking for a dynamic and committed Business Development Manager to maximise their product offering in the Life Sciences (Biomedical) sector. This role is a home-based position with coverage primarily across the North West of England with travel expected as far North as Scotland and as far South as the Midlands.
Our Client is a market leader of turnkey solutions in Cryogenic Storage. Offering bespoke design, project management and installation of class-leading cryogenic freezers, equipment and gas supply.
The Business Development Manager will be expected to grow the Life Sciences (Biomedical) portfolio through new customer acquisition and nurturing of existing customers. Full support and training will be given to ensure credibility and knowledge of this specialist offering. In order to be successful in developing this portfolio, there will be an expectation of travel equating to approximately 75%. Given the geographical scope, the Clients preference is for the Business Development Manager to be based in the North West where the main mass of customers are easily accessible. This region has an abundance of emerging Life Science companies, so a strong market presence is essential. Skills and Experience:
Previous experience of successfully selling high technology products with a consultative sales approach. (Examples include, but are not limited to - Laboratory Chemicals or Consumables, Life Science or Medical Equipment, Analytical Equipment and Speciality or Industrial Gases). Alternatively, candidates with a science-based education and relevant experience of business development will also be considered. A track record of strong new business achievements, involving direct contact with prospects and excellent pipeline management. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers on the technical benefits of the products being sold.
