Belmont Recruitment are currently in search of a CAMHS Crisis Practitioner (Nurse RMN/CPN/Social Worker/Therapist) Band 7 to join the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service based out of Barnet in London. The role is Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm, however there is scope for flexibility so applicants who cannot work full time are still encouraged to apply, this is initially on an ongoing locum however this will most likely be made permanent.
This post holder will be required to undertake a range of therapeutic tasks individually and jointly with members of the multi-disciplinary team. Developing & maintaining specialist clinical skills and expertise in the assessment of CYP psychiatric emergencies and deliberate self-harm. This role is to receive and assess referrals from A&E, paediatric/general wards, Community Teams, schools and health colleagues across the NCL as well as self-referrals from CYP and their families. Also offering advice on management of patients with mental health issues and non-organically based physical symptoms. Identifying regular attendees at diversion hub with mental health problems and in liaison with Community CAMHS teams make available current care plan as and when appropriate.
The pay rate for this locum role is between £29.21 - £32.21 per hour dependant on experience, however this is open for negotiation for someone with years of experience.
