1.0 WTE, 12 months Fixed-Term/Secondment (37.5 hours)

We are currently looking to recruit a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist to join us in Bromley CAMHS to work in our Generic Team. The post is a secondment (if internal) or afixed-term contract for 12 months to provide maternity leave cover and is advertised as full-time.However, we have a positive approach to flexible working and would also be pleased to receive enquiries and applications from candidates who may wish to work part-time hours

This post is open for qualified applicants from the Clinical Psychology discipline with appropriate post-qualifying experience, who are registered with the HCPC.

This role is based in the multi-disciplinary Specialist CAMHS to provide a service to children, young people and families/carers with complex mental health concerns. The post holder will hold a key role in providing senior psychologist input into the service alongside a strong department of 8a colleagues within the 8c and 8b professional leadership/supervision structure. There will be opportunities for supervision of band 7 colleagues, Trainees and Assistants as well as providing consultation to multi-disciplinary colleagues and undertaking service development work.

The post holder will provide psychological assessment and time limited evidence based interventions alongside opportunities for developing and undertaking group work for children, young people and their parents and/or carers. We strive to maintain positive interagency relationships so consultation and training to our colleagues working with the client group in partner agencies is often available alongside the varied direct clinical work.

Bromley CAMHS has close relationships with the wider specialist CAMHS, our cross-borough crisis team for young people, our DBT service and the wider South London Partnership. The service is underpinned by CYP IAPT principles and the post holder would support and assist the core aims of this in the service. This can involve exciting and creative participation work and service development.

The post holder will hold a key role as a senior psychologist within a strong, friendly psychology department. There are opportunities for supervision of band 7 colleagues, Trainees and Assistants as well as providing consultation to multi-disciplinary colleagues and possibilities for service development work. The post holder will provide psychological assessment and time limited evidence based interventions.

We have a large, well-established and supportive Clinical Psychology department that benefits from excellent links with the South Thames (Salomons) Clinical Psychology Training Scheme. We value and encourage your continuing professional development and will support you with experienced supervision and other learning opportunities. As Psychologists, we are well integrated in the multi-disciplinary teams across the service with strong and positive inter-disciplinary relationships.

The service has excellent accommodation and is based very near central Bromley with a 15 minute train journey to London Victoria.
