Belmont Recruitment are currently in search of a CAMHS Registered Qualified Social Worker (SW) Band 5-6 to join the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service based out of Rochford in Essex. The role is Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm, however there is scope for flexibility so applicants who cannot work full time are still encouraged to apply, this is initially on an ongoing locum however this will most likely be made permanent.
As a Social Worker you will be required to provide a service for young people in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Inpatient Unit. Working alongside inpatient staff, the postholder will liaise with other agencies, both within Essex and outside, to ensure that young people and their families/carers receive the best possible support and care in relation to their mental health problems. This will involve undertaking assessments of risk and care needs within relevant childcare and mental health legislation. There is a specific responsibility to promote a knowledge and understanding within CAMHS and relevant agencies of the issues facing children and young people who are “in need”, Looked After, Care Leavers and/or Adopted Children.
A valid UK driving licence plus the use of own transport for business purposes in this role is essential, all mileage while on shift will be compensated.
The pay rate for this locum role is between £19.71 - £26.71 per hour dependant on experience, however this is open for negotiation for someone with years of experience.
