Band 5 and Band 6 Nurses wanted for one of the UK's most respected Hospitals. This NHS Trust is a Centre of Excellence and the largest specialist Heart and Lung Centre in the UK and one of the largest in Europe   Specialist hospitals treat patients with rare and complex conditions in a specific area of health, many of the patients they care for cannot be treated in general hospitals. This highly regarded Trust carry out some of the most complex surgery and some of the most sophisticated treatments available.   With their facilities spanned across two hospitals based in Chelsea and Uxbridge they are able to offer treatments on a large scale. With the two hospitals combined they boast 10 operating theatres, 8 Cath Labs, 500 beds catering to a range of specialties including; surgery-cardiac and thoracic, respiratory, cardiology, paediatric, ICU, PICU, day case and transplant. They also provide oncology treatment both adult and paediatric, specialising in the heart and lungs.     This excellent organisation are looking for Nurses to join their team!   Are you an experienced Cardiac nurse looking for a new and exciting opportunity?     Opportunities:     This Hospital's Acute Cardiac Care Unit is a 50 bedded specialist cardiac centre caring for people who require Cardiac investigations and interventions such as Angioplasty (Primary and Elective), Electrophysiology studies, Ablations and Pacemakers/Devices. We also care for patients who have heart failure and our Primary Angioplasty service is the only 24-hour, 7 day a week service in the region. Reporting into senior staff and the ward manager you will be responsible for planning and delivering appropriate care for admissions and discharges to the unit. You will have an innate ability to quickly identify any issues or concerns and act accordingly.  You will also be assigned other ad hoc duties as required by senior members of staff.     Working hours are days, nights and weekends on a rotational basis.     To be considered for this role you would have:    
  • Registered General Nursing Degree
  • NMC Registration
  • Cardia Care Unit experience is desirable however candidates with a strong passion to develop in this field can be offered training.
  • Adapt easily to a team dynamic
  • Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer literate
