Job Description

Our Client based is looking for a friendly, Caring experienced Care Assistant for their care home based in Pembury.

Our client specializes in elderly care and are therefore looking for a passionate and caring day or night.

Purpose of Job

  1. As a Key Worker under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, taking responsibility for the physical and emotional well-being and social needs of our residents
  2. Assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and assisting with meals
  3. Providing physical and mental stimulation by taking part in recreational and social activities with residents, both individually and as a group
  4. Helping to maintain accurate records, undertaking ongoing training and getting involved in welcoming and training new staff
  5. Generally promoting our residents' independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering the very best standards of care
  6. Ideally, some experience in a care environment, although this is not as essential as your genuine desire to develop a career in this field
  7. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a dedicated team
  8. A respectful, courteous and compassionate nature and a willingness to undertake any aspects of care or non-care duties
  9. A belief in giving your personal best at all times and striving for continuous improvement

Job Requirements

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a care assistant.
  • Excellent knowledge of care assistant methods and procedures.
  • Excellent knowledge of emergency care
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times
  • A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Responsible and compassionate
  • Outstanding organisational and multi-tasking skills
  • Patient with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Must have an NMC PIN

Day Time from 8 AM to 8 PM

Night Time from 8 PM to 8 AM

Full time Days 37.5 hours/week

Must have 1-2 years of experience.

Salary is dependent on experience
