Care Assistant based at Horfield Lodge, Bristol

Available Hours:

Permanent - Full Time - 39 hours per week.

Are you a compassionate individual who would like to make a difference to the lives of older people? MHA are looking for a committed, hardworking individual's to join our thriving team at Horfield Lodge.

The role requires individuals who:


  • are flexible in their approach and sensitive to the needs of residents

  • enjoy the company of older people

  • have a willingness to learn and develop

  • work well as part of a team

  • have the ability

    to form positive relationships with residents, their families and professional colleagues

You will be responsible for supporting older people to live their daily lives to the full, assisting with their physical and personal needs to enhance each individual's well-being.

As well as 29 places for dementia specialist care and 25 for high-quality nursing care, the home also offers 19 care suites - one and two bedroom apartments available for individuals and couples, all with 24-hour support.

Tailored by the home's Activities Co-ordinator to meet resident's personal needs, there is a diverse range of activities and events available for those who wish to participate, including talks, demonstrations, musical events and outings, and each individual resident's hobbies and interests are catered for.

Horfield Lodge is committed to providing alternative therapies such as music therapy to residents, while our Chaplain offers pastoral support to all, whatever their beliefs.
