We have an excellent opportunity for a Care Assistant to join our clients charity run Care Home in Liverpool where you will assist the Chief Executive and the Head of Care/Deputy in the delivery of residential care services for residents.  A full job description will be provided on application.

About the Company
Our client has a purpose-built, single-story building which is wheelchair accessible designed to meet the needs of their residents.  They have six self-contained flats, 10 rooms in the high dependency care unit and a further 16 single rooms which have a nurse call system in place. For the residents with complex moving and handling needs there are track and hoists fitted to their rooms.  The is a lounge and large communal area with computers and WiFi.

About the Role
As a Care Assistant, you will be working with people who have Cerebral Palsy and similar associated neurological disorders, striving always to be the best in the field of care delivery to the physically disabled and empowering them to live a fulfilled and independent life irrespective of the disability as per standards of Health & Social Care Act 2008 and your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure that services provided are effectively, efficiently and professionally delivered
  • Reflect the organisation’s philosophy to deliver high quality, relevant services
  • Ensure the provision of high standards of care and support are delivered as prescribed in residents individual plan of care
  • Report any concerns regarding the welfare and wellbeing of residents to the Senior Care Officer on duty
  • Support the Care Managers in creating an atmosphere which enables residents to feel at home
  • Ensure that the privacy, dignity, choice, rights, fulfilment and independence of all residents are promoted and respected at all times 
  • Act as a keyworker for residents as allocated, befriending and offering support in all aspects of their daily needs and to provide information to assist in care plan preparation
  • Attend and report to reviews as and when required by the Care Managers
  • Ensure that good systems of written and verbal communication and feedback are maintained 
  • Ensure that appropriate, clear and accurate systems of recording, reporting and quality control pertaining to the post are maintained to the organisation’s Standard.
  • Draft reports and attend meetings as required by the Care Managers
  • Ensure that the philosophy and value base is promoted and is constantly applied

About You
To be successful for the role of Care Assistant you must have:

  • previous experience as a Care Assistant
  • Ensure that personal expertise and knowledge are regularly updated and that current issues, changes and development appertaining to the post are considered
  • Undertake necessary training to carry out duties
  • Attend Supervision/Appraisal sessions with Senior Care Officer/Care Managers
  • Assist the Chief Executive with other duties that reasonably responds to the general character of the position and are commensurate within its levels of responsibility and authority

About the Hours & Rewards
As a Care Assistant, you will work 38.5 hours per week and receive £10.30 per hour, plus you will receive:
