Newcross Healthcare is seeking professional Care Assistants to provide outstanding care and support to our service users in Bournemouth, Christchurch, Kinson and the surrounding areas.

The Caring Role

As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing our service users with assistance completing a wide range of tasks. These include personal care, social activities, clinical requirements and any other additional services needed.

Skills & Opportunities

Take advantage of a comprehensive range of free training programmes,

earned through credits as you work. The programmes will

include Basic Life Support, BSL or Makaton, Medication Administration, Dementia Care and many more.

You could also study towards a range of National vocational qualifications NVQ/SVQ.

Our Bournemouth Team

Your local team are based in the coastal town of Bournemouth in St Stephens Court on St Stephen's Rd just off the A338. We are easily reachable by car or local buses and we are a 20-minute walk away from the train station. The branch is one of the most established in England and provides the Dorset area with trained nurses, care assistants and support workers.

Bournemouth has 7 miles of curved sandy beaches.

The Role Requirements

  • The right to live and work in the UK
  • At least 3 months' previous paid experience working in a care environment in the UK within the last 3 years
  • Referee contact details for your current place of work, including a manager who can comment on your clinical ability, and for all employments in the past 18 months or your 3 most recent jobs
  • A certificate confirming your participation in a practical moving and handling course in the last 12 months or are willing to book on to a Newcross course
  • You will need access to a smartphone, iPhone (5s or later), iPad or iPod touch compatible with IOS 8.0 (or later) or Android device with a 4.3 operating system (or later), with internet access to submit your timesheets via our mobile app
  • Access to your own vehicle is desirable
