Our client in Surbiton is an established 40 bedded Nursing Home that is independently run and promotes the highest standards of care. They aim to provide a comfortable and welcoming home alongside excellent clincal skills. The latest CQC report is rated "GOOD" and the home has excellent public transport links and on-site parking. Residents are able to bring their own small items of furniture with them to ease into life at their new home with an air of familiarity in their new surroundings.

We are looking for Care Assistants who have a passion and desire to care for others and work alongside a team of other carers to promote dignity and independence for all residents within the nursing home.

Key details

These are full time, permanent positions and both days and nights are available paying £9.50 per hour and the shifts are 12 hours long. Surbiton train station is only a short walk away along with multiple bus routes and there is also free on-site parking.

Training and support will be provided to care assistants from senior care assistants who have little or no previous experience within a care home.

Main duties for care assistants are as follows:

Providing personal care such as toileting, washing and dressing

Assist in the safe lifting, repositioning and movement of residents

Checking and reporting any change in residents conditions to a senior care assistant

Encouraging residents to take part in social activities

Desirable:

Care assistants with previous experience within a care home and NVQ's within health and social care.

Hours:

24, 36 or 48 per week (alternate weekends) (Day + Night positions)
