Salary: Band 2

Band 2 Care Support Worker

East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust

Locations covered: Lister Hospital, Stevenage

Pay rate per hour – Band 2

Day: £7.87 Night/Saturday: £11.34 Sunday/BH: £14.81- £16.59

You will earn Holiday Pay in addition to this hourly rate.

Flexible shift patterns are available including Days, Nights and Weekends East and North Hertfordshire Trust is a fantastic place to work and currently employs around 5,000 members of staff. In October 2014 £150 Million Investment was put into new facilities at the Lister Hospital which has improved services in Emergency and Impatient Care.

We are looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 2 Care Support Workers to work Bank shifts at East and North Hertfordshire Trust. You will work within a team to promote and provide high quality care and have excellent interpersonal communication skills.

As a Bank Care Support Worker, you will find yourself assisting patients with many aspects of care including:

• Washing and dressing patients

• Serving meals and helping to feed patients

• Helping people to move around

• Talking to patients and making them comfortable

• Monitoring patients' conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations and weight

In order to apply for a post, you must have a minimum of 6 months experience in an acute hospital environment within the last 2 years.

Please note you are only eligible for the role if you have proof of ONE of the following:

• You are currently studying as a Student Nurse

• You have completed Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ or Apprenticeship Diploma in Health and Social Care (achieved within 5 years)
