Care and Support Worker
Full Time / Part Time / Permanent / Term Time Only
Locations- Gloucester / Cheltenham / Ullenwood
£8.76 per hour Rising to £9.03 p/hr from April 2019

As a Care Support Worker (Facilitator) you will be required to support people with varied and complex disabilities to learn, develop and flourish whilst maintaining their health and well-being, so they can reach their full potential at National Star.
The ideal Care Support Worker (Facilitator) will have;
•Experience working as part of a team and communicate effectively
•Good standard of spoken and written English
•Hold relevant level 2 qualification or willing to work towards and achieve within 24months
•Good organisation and time management skills
•Able to demonstrate an understanding of the National Star mission statement
•Minimum age 18
•Able to work unsocial hours to include evenings and weekends
•Sensitive and empathetic to the needs of people with disabilities
**You will be required to work every other weekend and shifts will be a mixture of morning and afternoon / evenings. It is imperative that you have access to your own transport and highly desirable you hold a UK driving license and access to your own vehicle. National Star main site is located in Ullenwood which is not on a public transport route.**
Responsibilities of Care Support Worker (Facilitator);
•To deliver all aspects of personal care in accordance to National Star standards and individual care plans which will include; washing dressing, personal appearance, toileting, continence support, mouth, nail, and foot care, feeding and undertaking some medical procedures.
•Maintain records and documentation accurately in accordance with National Star quality standard legislation.
•Work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary teams to establish and maintain a stimulating learning environment.
•To provide effective learning support under the direction of a specialist tutor.
