The University of Leicester Nursery are looking for a Casual Nursery Assistant to support them on a temporary basis.

Working hours for this role: This role is on a casual basis, and therefore hours will vary every week.

Duties and responsibilities
*Provide a happy, safe, secure and stimulating environment in which the physical, emotional, intellectual, social and psychological development of the babies is taken into account
*To encourage the children to develop and maintain their own individuality and independence within supportive group care
*Provide appropriate resources, activities and play experiences for all areas of learning and development
*Ensure the nursery is safe, clean and tidy at all times
*Take reasonable care of self and others and comply with Health and Safety policy at all times
*Report injuries or accidents as soon as they happen
*Ensure that all statutory requirements are maintained
Skills and experience
*An interest in working with 0-4 year old children
*Some experience of working with children
*IT skills
*Good oral and written communication skills
*Ability to work as a member of a team as well as independently
*Customer focused
*Participate in own self-development and the development of others
*Have a deep and genuine interest in the developmental needs of children
*Take an active interest in new developments in Early Years
