Main duties involve:
Working on the patient supper meal make up belt.
Delivering/collecting patient meal trolleys to and from wards.
Working in the central Dishwashing facility
Candidate may be required to use the catering van to deliver/collect meals to/from external locations
To succeed in this role you must:
• Be able to demonstrate previous experience in a catering environment
• Be able to work effectively and efficiently and achieve and maintain departmental standards.
• Maintain hygienic and safe working standards in all catering activities.
• Be able to meet deadlines
• Be flexible in approach and totally customer focused
• Be a team player, possess good communication skills
• Be prepared to undertake any training required for a Catering Assistant role at Poole Hospital.
The Catering Department provides a full range of catering services to the Trust and produces and serves approximately 2000 meals per day (Mon – Fri).
All posts are subject to satisfactory Occupational Health and Reference screening.

Please note that the working hours for this role are Monday to Friday - 4.45pm until 8.00pm. The hours are not negotiable.
If this job requires you to have a DBS check to enable you to properly fulfil the requirements of the job, on appointment you will be required to repay the cost of obtaining a DBS check and this amount will be reclaimed from your salary.
