The Priory Wellbeing Centre Bristol is an outpatient clinic set in the heart of Bristol delivering individual therapy to adults, children and adolescents.
The clinic maintains close links with the Priory Hospital Bristol enabling continuity of care if inpatient treatment becomes necessary. The consultant psychiatrists, clinical psychologists and psychotherapists who use the clinic are all highly experienced in their respective fields of healthcare
The Wellbeing Centre is located at Aztec West and is accessible from Bristol City Centre and South Gloucestershire on main bus routes.
You will be joining a small team of Therapists, Counsellors, Psychologists, Consultant Psychiatrists and Administration staff and so we really do adopt a team working approach to everything we do.
Reporting to the Hospital Director, the WB Centre Manager is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Wellbeing Centre with full accountability for clinical services, administration, management of the estate and on-going maintenance and upkeep ensuring delivery of a high quality service, in line with legal requirements and national care minimum standards laid down in the legislation for independent healthcare.
The role will also include a small clinical caseload comprising both individual therapy sessions and also group therapy.
You will gain invaluable experience in promoting and developing a therapeutic service to support the needs of the local community and ensure that the service is reactive to the changing needs of the client group.
The role holder will require a relevant professional qualification, a recognised post-graduate qualification together with full membership / accreditation of a relevant professional institution.
Ideally you will have knowledge of group therapy programs, different therapeutic modalities and outpatient therapy and the awareness of risks and support measures required for this client group.
Beneficial but not essential is also awareness and understanding of the 12 Step program and inpatient therapeutic services.
A detailed understanding of statutory regulations is essential, as are financial and people management skills.
The role holder will have relevant practice experience, together with previous supervisory/managerial experience for a group of professional staff.
