Charge Nurse - Mental Health/ Learning Disabilities

Up to £38,700 salary depending on experience

Are you an experienced Nurse or Charge Nurse looking for a new opportunity to work in an organisation that will help to develop you to achieve your goals to become the best you can be?

As a Registered Charge Nurse, you will lead and coordinate the quality and management of nursing care for people with learning disabilities and/or autism.

With previous experience in a similar setting from the NHS or private care as a Registered Nurse. You will be responsible for the clinical environment where you will provide leadership to your peers and manage the clinical services throughout the wards and units.

What you will be doing:

As a Charge Nurse you will be working within a team that includes a range of professionals to support people with learning disabilities and/or autism

You will work within an identified career development pathway and be expected to complete appropriate competency development portfolio.

No two days are the same, with plenty to keep you engaged and motivated, but also a good amount of routine.

You will have access to the wellbeing team, which is on hand to keep you feeling great; be it a chat, massage or group activities. Who doesn't like a free massage at work?

Things you will have:

* RMN/RNMH/RNLD
* Recognised Mentorship certification
* NVQ Assessor Qualification
* Evidence and values based practice
* People focused-care
* Leadership skills

Experience of working in a supervisory capacity, secure environment and interdisciplinary teamwork. Experience of assessing and teaching junior staff and coordinating care. The candidate needs to prioritise key tasks in relation to the sphere of work and report writing. Management of health and Safety and related issues
