Job Description

Spire Murrayfield – located in Edinburgh is looking for an experienced Chemotherapy Nurse to join our team. This part time role is based within Spire Murrayfield Hospital within a supportive and knowledgeable team, working across a complex and changing caseload of cancer patients.

Murrayfield hospital was established as a purpose built hospital in 1984, conveniently located in the west of Edinburgh. In 2015 our consulting rooms had a £1 million refurbishment. In 2010 we opened Shawfair Park Hospital, a day case facility, based in south east Edinburgh. Each of our hospitals practice some of the most advanced treatments supported by the latest generation imaging and diagnostic technology. This means we offer everything from screening and rehabilitation through to leading edge surgical procedures and cancer care.

Caring for our patients is at the heart of what we do. We provide expert medical care in a modern, well-equipped environment for all of our patients

Duties and Responsibilities

•Patient assessment using UKONS assessment tool
•Cannulation and the use of CVAD’s in delivery of chemotherapy
•Patient/relative/carer support, education and delivery of information throughout the patient journey
•Liaising or referral to external organisations/services to ensure support is given throughout the whole patient journey
•Working alongside Oncologists and Clinical Nurse Specialists to ensure high standard of patient care is delivered

Who we're looking for

• NMC registered Nurse
• Administration of SACT qualification
• CVAD qualification
• Cancer Nursing Qualification
• Good team player
