Job Summary

UK Care and Nursing are currently recruiting for a Senior Registered Nurse to join our Nursing and Residential Home client within the Hastings area. Our client has numerous Nursing Homes throughout the UK and are currently recruiting in one of their homes in West Sussex. The successful candidate will be patient and caring and able to provide a quality service to residents within a care home environment whilst enabling them to lead an active and independent life. The successful Senior will be responsible for managing their team and acting as a role model for other support workers and seniors. You will work within a small management team and report directly to the Deputy Manager and Manager.

Job Role

Our successful Nurse will: -

* Be an essential part of the team, promoting the well-being and providing the highest quality care to residents

* Assist the Management in the day to day running of the home whilst providing the highest possible standards of care to all clients ensuring compliance with Company Policy and Procedures

* Supervise and support care assistants in their role

* Assist the staff in maintaining records and care plans on each shift

* Undertake practical supervision of care staff to maintain standards

* Contribute to the induction of new employees as required and monitor their standards and performance

* Work as a part of a team, communicating positively and showing respect for colleagues and residents at all times

Education, Skills and qualifications

Our Nurses will have the following: -

* An active NMC pin

* Have previous experience as Deputy/Clinical Lead/ Senior Nurse

* Have prior relevant experience as a Nurse

* Have excellent communication skills

* Have the relevant skills and experience for the above tasks

* Have adequate knowledge and understanding of the job role

* Work well under pressure and be able to work to deadlines

* The ability to work well with others
