Opportunity: TTM are currently recruiting looking to recruit a Clinical Nurse Specialist in pain management for one of our very private clients based in Central London. They have several units spanned across two prestigious areas of London focused on providing world-class treatment to their patients. They offer treatment across a range of medical and surgical interventions.
Role: Reporting into the Lead Nurse for Pain Services you will be responsible for the operational issues of the pain services. You will take on an agreed caseload of patients and demonstrate comprehensive assessment, planning and evaluation skills in all aspects of patient's pain management and related care. You will work to implement, manage and continuously improve the pain management initiatives, facilitating the provision of a seamless service and promoting quality care to patients and their families. Part of your role will involve having to provide the medical and surgical teams along with GP's individualised pain management plans for all individual acute and chronic pain referrals. These plans should include advice on appropriate drug management and non-pharmaceutical management techniques. You will encapsulate the ethos of the hospital supporting patients through their journey along with having the ability to understand when a patient's care is beyond your limitations. You will also play an integral role in education and research and leadership and management across the service when required.
To be considered for this role you be a registered nurse with at least 4 years post graduation experience and also experience of working in pain management. Our client is ideally looking for someone with a relevant course in the area of pain management and who is keen to further educate in this area also. Additional qualifications such as nurse prescriber or alternative therapies would be considered an advantage. You will be a caring and compassionate nurse with strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure and manage your caseload of patients along with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
