The seven integrated regions of our joint enterprise will work with local systems to support and improve how care is provided to patients and communities. These regions will be supported by the corporate centre providing expertise and developing policy. The focus will be on guiding and managing the delivery of services through local integrated health systems, sustainability and transformation partnerships, and devolution areas.

This includes working to harness the power of digital innovation to proactively predict, manage and prevent poor health and support wellbeing.
The newly formed digital team within the medical directorate is aligning efforts to support care providers in London. This is to develop, adopt and use digital technologies, as part of Integrated Care Systems that deliver proactive population health management; effective new models of planned care; and integrated urgent and emergency care. Critically we must deliver the tools and capability together to enable patients to fully participate in their care using digital technology.
The Medical Clinical Safety Lead for Digital will provide clinical leadership and advice, leading the delivery of a process to ensure digital programmes are clinically safe.
The post-holder will ensure that services, including appropriate policy, specifications and standards, are consistent with safe, high quality care and good patient experience and will lead clinically focused communications across the London Region.
The post holder will provide clinical leadership and advice around digital clinical safety processes.
The post holder will also contribute to the London regional medical leadership team
We are looking for an exceptional candidate with relevant medical qualifications and a registered medical practitioner with current GMC registration and who is an experienced clinician with credibility and the ability to command the respect of all clinical and non-clinical professionals
The successful candidate will demonstrate senior leadership experience in the NHS, operating at or close to Board level with experience in clinical leadership at a strategic level.
You will demonstrate your knowledge and experience of working in or with the Department of Health and Social Care (DH), arms-length bodies and other health organisations and have a good understanding of health system dynamics and the reform programme particularly related to digital programmes of work and the role in enabling wider system transformation.
Knowledge of evidence based policymaking and corporate DHSC and NHS governance is essential.
A good understanding of all health sectors and how they relate with digital programmes will also be essential.
