An exciting opportunity has arisen for a newly qualified or experienced registered Dietitian to join our driven and welcoming community dietetic team. As a committed Dietitian, you will be professionally supported by an established service including Dietitians, Advanced and Assistant Practitioners, Dietetic Assistants, and a supportive administrative team. Our service works in close partnership with many other health and social care agencies to support and deliver holistic care.
This is a rotational post and in addition to the opportunity to develop your skills and experience in an adult community service, you will be supported to gain experience in the specialist areas of paediatrics, home enteral feeding, and mental health care. You will be responsible for managing your own caseload, conducting clinics and home visits as well as engaging with a range of health and social care professionals to support service delivery and patient centered care.
We have a well-structured support system across the department, including a comprehensive induction programme and preceptorship. We hold team away days to encourage team building and together we scope out service development. This will give you the opportunity to be involved with and to be innovative with, the strategic direction of the service. You will have a personal development plan to identify your training and development needs and you will be supported with regular safeguarding and clinical supervision sessions.
The department undertakes student training for B and C placements. You will be involved in providing support and training, with the opportunities to advance your clinical supervisory skills.
It is an essential requirement of the post-holder to be able to travel and transport equipment across the borough(s) on a daily basis.
Part time / flexible working will be considered.
The Boroughs of Knowsley and St Helens are situated on the perimeter of Liverpool. Liverpool is a vibrant and exciting place to live and work. However, if you do feel the need to explore, Liverpool has excellent road and rail links to North Wales, the Lake District and Cheshire, and air-links to several European destinations.
