We are seeking an innovative enthusiastic nurse, ideally with a background in nursing acutely unwell patients who require Intravenous Therapy; to work within our Community IV Therapy Team across the Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde Coast Locality.

The service supports the Trust's Unscheduled Care Agenda providing an alternative pathway that will treat people at home or in a clinic setting in order to reduce unnecessary hospital admissions and facilitate early safe discharge.

This is an opportunity to work in a team that will collaborate with both Primary and Secondary Care Providers to provide suitable patients with Intravenous Therapy in the community

As a Staff Nurse you will assist in the delivery of nursing care for patients in their own home or clinic setting. This post requires a proactive individual with excellent clinical knowledge of a variety of conditions requiring Intravenous therapy.

NMC Level 1 Registration (Adult Branch) and car driver essential, IV Drug administration and Cannulation experience essential, full training will be offered to alternative access devices, blood transfusion experience desirable. DBS clearance required.

Trust policy requires that the cost of submitting & processing the successful applicant/s DBS application be recovered via salary deduction following start in post. The amount of £23+£4 (standard disclosure) or £40+£4 (enhanced disclosure) can be deducted from salary, in manageable monthly installments for up to 3 months following commencement of employment.

Applicants are encouraged where possible, to register for the DBS update service, which will save the cost of repeated disclosures between employers, in return for a annual registration fee of £13.
