General Anaesthetists

South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust incorporates Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon Hospitals. The Trust serves a community of approximately 270,000 in South Warwickshire and the surrounding areas. The largest population centres are the towns of Kenilworth, Royal Leamington Spa, Southam, Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick.

The Trust is a busy District General Hospital, which provides a variety of surgical specialties catering for a high number of elective patients. It has a 7 bedded combined HDU / ICU unit and delivers and Outreach service 24/7. The Anaesthetic department has been ACSA accredited on a yearly basis since 2015.

The Trust has refurbished the main operating theatre suite within the last five years and currently building an additional operating.

Due to retirements and the theatre expansion we would like to invite applications for two Consultant posts at Warwick Hospital.

The posts will include a variety of general anaesthetic and emergency duties.

The successful applicants will be expected to participate in the on call rota which currently incorporates 1:9 non-residents out of hour’s commitments. This system may however alter in the future.
