Job Description

Consultant Anaesthetist with special interest in upper Airway and ENT surgery

Applications are invited for a full time Consultant Anaesthetist post within our Trust.

The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible. This post will be based primarily at Eastbourne District General Hospital, although, as with all Trust posts, there will be an element of cross-site working, with some lists at the Conquest Hospital, Hastings and also at Uckfield Community Hospital. Internal cover for weekday working is also expected.

The on-call commitment is undertaken at the Eastbourne site, through participation in a 1 in 10 rota, and includes covering Theatres and the Critical Care Unit at Eastbourne out of hours with an Intensivist colleague, based at the Conquest site available for advice.

The candidate will need to have extensive experience in general anaesthesia and subspecialist knowledge in advanced airway management.

Applicants must have full GMC registration and be on the Specialist register, or within 6 months of gaining CCT.
