North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust is one of London's major acute hospital trusts based in North London.
Applications are invited for a substantive consultant to join the Acute Medicine department at the North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust. The post is for 10 programmed activities however part time applications or job shares will also be considered.
The successful applicant/s will join our acute medicine faculty, which combines consultants in acute medicine with those from a range of other specialties who contribute to the delivery of acute medical care. We are looking for colleagues who can add to the broad mix of skills and expertise within the department and help us further develop our service to deliver high quality and innovative acute medical care to our local population.
After several reconfigurations, acute medical care is now delivered within separate, co-located units that make up our acute medicine "Hot Floor". The successful applicant/s will work across each of the acute assessment, short stay, and ambulatory emergency care units with the opportunity to focus on any area that particularly matches their skills or interests.
We encourage applications from candidates with additional specialty skills and experience, and these will be accommodated within the timetable where they support the needs of the department or trust.
The North Middlesex is a University Hospital dedicated to postgraduate teaching and training as well as undergraduate teaching of both local and international medical students.
Applicants must have full GMC registration with a licence to practice and be on the specialist register or be within 6 months of gaining CCT at time of interview.
