Consultant Liaison Manager

Salary: Between £30,000 - £40,000 per year (pro-rata) dependant on experience

Hours: 37.5 - Full Time

Fixed term Contract - Maternity Cover

We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Consultant Liaison Manager, with extensive experience of supporting business development, to join our busy Medical team.

You will be supporting the Medical Director and Chief Executive to develop the relationships with Consultants and GPs, ultimately increasing referrals from GP's and Consultants, as well as securing new contracts with businesses, PCT's and NHS Foundation Trusts. Prior experience in a similar role is vital, as well as an understanding of the issues surrounding a complex health care organisation.

  • Degree level or equivalent qualification
  • Experience of effective partnership working and fostering relationships with business partners, customers, patients and staff
  • Significant experience of leading change and delivering healthcare service development and modernisation
  • Medical Secretary Experience is desirable

What are the Responsibilities of this Consultant Liaison Manager role?

  • To help grow and develop new services in line with the Strategic and Business Plans for the Hospital
  • Assist in Consultant Liaison
  • Assist with the development of agreed units liaising with Consultants, the Business Unit and other interested parties
  • Help evaluate the feasibility of new service proposals, assist in the development of business plans initiatives to ascertain whether they fit with the Hospital's business objectives and strategic/business plans
  • Help execute business plans as deemed appropriate by the Hospital Management Board
