Our NHS client based in Scunthorpe & Grimsby delivers quality care to around 440,000 people. They provide a comprehensive range of secondary care services from 3 main centres, Grimsby, Goole and Scunthorpe as well as community services in North Lincolnshire. We are looking for dynamic, visionary and hard-working candidates to join our expanding Respiratory Department as a Consultant with respiratory medicine background. The two appointments are to ensure the future development of the respiratory medicine department.

Sub-specialty interests particularly specialist expertise in

• Interstitial Lung Disease,
• Sleep Disordered Breathing,
• Pleural Disease
• Lung Cancer.

Other sub-specialities include Tuberculosis, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and Bronchiectasis.

There are 6 colleagues responsible for the provision of Respiratory Services across Northern Lincolnshire. The Department offers a full referral service for the diagnosis and management of patients with respiratory disease, with the exception of cystic fibrosis. We have recently developed Endoscopic Ultrasound Medical Thoracoscopy service.

the post holder will be expected to contribute to the development and modernisation of respiratory medicine services across the service.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to be appointed as Honorary Senior Lecturer at Hull York Medical School (HYMS). This honorary appointment is in recognition of contribution to teaching and research and holders of honorary titles may request access to HYMS and University premises and facilities, systems, and library services.
