Our client, a leading national evidence-based psychological therapy service, are recruiting to a brand new position.

This position sits within the senior management team which will lead the CYP service development and offer expert level guidance. You will be responsible for providing clinical leadership, advice and guidance to the group, ensuring that not only are the services safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led, but consistently looking at service improvement and development across the group.

They are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist with relevant post qualification experience and entry onto the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

The client has a reputation for clinical excellence and dedication to providing evidence-based psychological solutions and ensures that they deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.

Duties and responsibilities:
Set and monitor clinical and non-clinical standards as and when required, take action to ensure high quality patient focus service in line with operational plan
Work in partnership with referrers to ensure the delivery of quality CYP care, holding individuals and teams to account for performance against key indicators
To present as a dynamic, innovative and enthusiastic role model providing leadership, guidance and advice on operational, clinical and professional issues
Lead service development ensuring the best use of all resources using effective benchmarking systems
Work in partnership with Directors of Clinical Services and key clinical leads to ensure national and local priorities and standards are met
Participate with serious incident investigations and harms validation process in all clinical areas to monitor and review patient harms and utilise improvement methodology to ensure a reduction in harms within inpatient and outpatient areas
To facilitate and contribute to the accreditation process, overseeing the development and monitoring of action plans, reporting to the Specialist Clinical Services Director to ensure quality safety and patient experience is optimised across all areas.
Lead, participate and contribute to the professional forums and specialist group conferences, ensuring that information is communicated directly
Maintain a direct clinical interest that will include providing medical psychiatric assessment and treatment interventions to children and young people; alongside providing psychiatric advice and consultation to colleagues.

Requirements:
A qualified Consultant Psychiatrist with relevant post qualification experience
Current GMC registered with Entry onto the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
An accomplished senior leader & clinician with strong line management & communication skills
Extensive experience leading on service development and improvements
Proven change management experience
Preferably a management / leadership qualification
Significant experience of working at a senior level and leading CYP service delivery
Significant proven experience of developing safe and innovative CYP care pathways
Experience of working collaboratively with commercial client groups
