Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ideally situated just a forty five minute drive from Manchester. The Trust provides services to the 440,000 residents of Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre and North Lancashire, as well as specialist tertiary care for Cardiac and Haematology patients. We are looking to recruit a Consultant Adult Psychiatrist for our Primary Intermediate Mental Health Team.
This is a full time and permanent position.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Primary Mental Health and Learning Disability services which provides a multi-disciplinary primary mental health team, a learning disability team integrated with Blackpool Council and an Improving Access to Psychological Therapies team. We pride ourselves on working proactively and collaboratively to meet the needs of local people with common mental health conditions in a primary care setting and have positive relationships with colleagues in secondary mental health services.
You must be fully registered with the General Medical Council and have completed or within 3 months of completion, of specialist higher training in adult psychiatry.

Trust policy requires that the cost of submitting & processing the successful applicant/s DBS application be recovered via salary deduction following start in post. The amount of £26+£4 (standard disclosure) or £44+£4 (enhanced disclosure) can be deducted from salary, in manageable monthly installments for up to 3 months following commencement of employment.
Applicants are encouraged where possible, to register for the DBS update service, which will save the cost of repeated disclosures between employers, in return for a annual registration fee of £13.
