As a leader in health care and support services for individuals throughout the UK, Voyage Care supports thousands of people with learning and physical disabilities, brain injuries, autism and other needs. We operate over 400 care homes and 20 rehabilitation centres across the country and we provide specialist care and support to people at home and in the wider community…and we're growing every day!
Our day service based in Hindhead provides support to adults with learning and physical disabilities. We are seeking a Cookery Coordinator to plan and implement a range of enjoyable and meaningful creative cooking sessions.
Reporting to the Manager, you will have a good knowledge of nutrition and healthy eating. A 'food based' background would also help. You will be asked to both plan and lead sessions and teach new culinary skills to the people we support. You will take an active part in reviewing the delivery of activities and the development of responsive practices.
Experience of working in a day service environment with the client group would be advantageous, but not essential. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the people we support. All successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced disclosure from the CRB.
You should be well educated, with excellent verbal communication skills, with an outgoing personality and the ability to prioritise your own workload. Experience of working in a similar role would be advantageous.
We ensure that the people we support reach their full potential - and of course we'll make sure that you reach yours.
