Are you a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist/CBT Therapist seeking a new LOCUM challenge? Do you have previous experience working with Adults with enduring Mental Health issues?

Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Specialist Clinical or Counselling Psychologist/CBT Therapist for a LOCUM contract supporting South West London NHS. The successful candidate will support the Richmond Recovery Team. The duration of the contract is for 6 months with the likelihood of extension.

Job Purpose: Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or CBT Therapist - Adults

Banding: Band 7 or 8a depending on experience

Location: Barnes Hospital, London (Some Remote Working Available)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00

Contract: Full-time, Minimum 6 months with likelihood of extension

The post holder will work as part of the wider multi-disciplinary Mental Health Team and will provide a range of assessments.

Key Responsibilities:
*To be responsible for the systematic provision of specialist psychology services to adults with complex and acute mental health difficulties across the acute care pathway.
*To undertake high quality direct (assessment and therapeutic) and indirect (consultative, advisory and evaluative) specialist psychological interventions taking substantial professional responsibility and exercising autonomous judgement in own professional practice.
*To ensure the clinical effectiveness of own practice and of service functioning by undertaking audit, research and development activities relevant to the service area.
*To be regularly responsible for providing training placements for trainee clinical psychologists in this specialism.
*To supervise and support the psychological therapy provided by other members of the multidisciplinary team.
*To manage the planning and direction of the psychological therapy group programme and to take part in delivering group psychological therapy.

Essential
*HCPC Registration / Full BABCP Accreditation
*A post graduate diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (if CBT Therapist)
*Substantial experience working with Adults

Desirable
*Substantial Mental Health experience
