Following the recent government announcement to roll out of lateral flow testing in schools we have been asked by one of our clients to help find them a trained Nurse to oversee operations of their Covid 19 Lateral Flow Testing Department that will be opening next week.
You will be in charge of a group of already trained operatives in making sure all testing is run smoothly and safely.
This is a large SEN school based in Bromley and the Covid 19 Lateral Flow Testing Department is there to make sure the process is efficient, making sure the staff and students know what to do in terms of the test which they will administer themselves and also completing any relevant admin. The suitable applicant will have experience working with children and be well organised and friendly.
Key responsibilities are:
Instructing and assisting test subjects with self-administered testing
Managing the one-directional flow of test subjects
Ensuring all required and accurate documentation are in place for each test subject
Ensuring that testing and sampling procedures are in line with required quality standards and that these are strictly maintained
Instructing and answering any questions test subjects may have
Ensuring accurate records of tests and samples are recorded and processed
Ensuring processing areas are kept clean
The Successful Applicant
A Registered Nurse ideally with recent Vaccination/Immunisation experience, although there may be opportunity for training.
Confident in being part of this delivery and working as part of the wider team.
Have an up to date DBS within a year or on the update service
What will be Offered
Monday – Friday shifts 8am - 4pm
Ongoing work - we anticipate a minimum 3-6 months.
